Among the names here which stand out are Strother Martin as McCoy, and Lane Smith(1936-2005) who portrayed the psychiatrist, Dr. Symington, in 'Frances' with Jessica Lange. (1) Lane Smith was a very capable actor with many credits in television and film productions.
Strother Martin (1919 –1980) did quite a few roles also and is probably best remembered for his role as the prison 'captain' in the 1967 Paul Newman film 'Cool Hand Luke' where he gave the famous line, "What we've got here is ...failure to communicate". Strother was another very 'believable', sometimes frighteningly real character in film and tv history. (2)
